I really enjoyed the prismatic effect of the light coming through the window and shining into the bathroom. That was awesome! kind of a well-designed house. It’s too bad it’s gonna get torn down, but such is life.

The burners were in a drawer in that 1960's stove. It may have looked like just an oven but it is an entire stove. I was amazed the first time that I saw a stove like that in the home of a college friend in the early 1970's. Great video. Thanks

My house was the model home for the 1979 development. The master bathroom had carpet. We kept it that way for years but it was very impractical. Amazing video. Thanks

The folks who built this home in 1957 put so much effort into what was the highest style of the period that it would have been hard to make changes since they certainly would have been so proud of it. This is the best mid century house tour that I have seen. Thank you.

I was born in 1954. The 50's and 60's were a fun time for some but not all.

Have lived all over. Cant imagine the cost of paying for the utilities. The hydro bill alone; never mind the property taxes.... it's not just the build costs alone. Its the continuing ability to afford the lifestyle of ownership. " ouchy"!$$$.

If the owner has the doors, sink, appliances and stuff removed they can have a huge tax right off. Donate it too a bad building for rehab people and get that tax right off.

Looks like it was in the process of being renovated, seems to portray more like the minimalist design of 2014+ homes rather than an actual early 80s home with woodgrain and tile flooring (only thing left was the spare bathroom beside basement areas); think almost like Dunkin’ Donuts & McDonalds in the years since even when compared to the ‘00s for that matter. Doesn’t seem to have any natural decay nor any personal belongings left behind for that matter, so wonder what makes it so “Forgotten [About] and ABANDONDED”

if that mixer still works and can be fixed, it will be stronger than a Kitchenaid. I had one of these and it was great. I always check out the basement first and then the roof and then the rest of the house.

The placement of the fountain on the property informs me it was intentional -Vaastu. I prefer the exterior than the interior. The choice of wood gives the place a dark feeling. It's already gleam outdoors, bright it indoors.

I guess I'm stupid but why would drug dealers live on a busy street I would think they would attract to themselves I would love to see the stair railings saved they were beaufiful

I like tall ceilings but why heat that space I've had the shorter ceiling and that way your heating empty space. Just my opinion

Cool interestingly styled house. No doubt once quite nice place but has certainly seen better. Really like some of the curved windows and the staircase to the lower level. Would have liked to have seen it before it was destroyed. I hardly if ever say this but it’s crying out for demolition. It’s done. Like the parquet floors. Thanks for sharing Ethan.
